oh-my-avatar: Was I the only one who thought something was a little off about the Borra hug? At first I thought Bolin was slouching because of height difference, but both Korra and Bolin are about the same height. Also, look at his expression. He seems downcast, not taking this act of affection to heart like he usually would. He’s not enjoying it. Korra seems to be feeling warm and fuzzy at Bolin’s care for her, with her gentle smile and such. Bolin gives her words of caution, but once she can’t see him, he looks upset. This isn’t the only time, either. For the past few episodes, Bolin isn’t completely himself. I’ll just focus on the finale for now. Hm. Let’s take a look. When Bolin is waiting for Korra to come out of the room with Katara, he seems upset in a way that is different from the other’s. Mako is stressed out and is hoping Korra’s okay. Asami is brooding over all the bad things happening to her lately, with her father, Mako and Korra, and then of course, the avatar losing her bending. But Bolin is hugging is own knee, staring off into space. This shows that he is clearly insecure, worried about something. He’s hugging his leg. He needs to want to lean on someone, someone to support him. His brother, whom supported him all his life, is going off hiddly-diddly-doo with Korra and Asami. Who does he have left? Near to no one.  Yeah, he’s still the comic relief to many… but when he’s not cracking jokes or doing some kick-butt earthbending, our Bolin is looking really sad lately.  Your two cents? My poor Baby….
